Refunds
Last updated 4 September 2026
Cancel whenever you like and keep the month you paid for. If PhurFriend was not what you expected, email in the first thirty days and we refund it — no form and no argument.
Cancelling
One click in Settings. No email, no phone call, no notice period. You keep full access to the end of the period you have already paid for, because you bought that month and it is yours.
After that your books stay readable and exportable for as long as you want them. Nothing is deleted unless you ask us to delete it.
Your first thirty days
If PhurFriend is not what you expected, email us within thirty days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. You do not have to explain yourself, though we would genuinely like to know what went wrong — that is more useful to us than the money.
After that
We do not refund part-months as a matter of course. Cancelling stops the next payment and you keep what you have paid for until it runs out.
Two exceptions, and we will raise them before you have to ask:
- We charged you in error. A double charge, a subscription that should have ended, a price you did not agree to — refunded in full, and we will usually spot it first.
- The service was unusable for a meaningful stretch. If PhurFriend was down or broken for long enough to matter, tell us and we will credit or refund that time.
How to ask
Email us from the address on the account and say what happened. A person reads it. Refunds go back to the card you paid with and typically take five to ten days to appear, which is your bank's timing rather than ours.
What we will not do
Hold your data to make leaving harder, require a phone call to cancel, or bury the cancel button. Those tactics are why contractors resent the software they already pay for, and we would rather earn the renewal.
Written plainly rather than defensively, and not reviewed by a lawyer. Before taking payments from customers at scale, have an attorney read this alongside the terms of service.
